Data Intuitive is a pioneering company specialising in state-of-the-art biotech data workflows. We excel in developing multi-omics bioinformatics data pipelines for biotech using a highly effective and efficient method.
To expand our innovation, we are launching a new division dedicated to data workflows built with the Snakemake workflow engine.

This position primarily involves remote work, offering flexibility tailored to your personal needs. Our team gathers approximately eight times a year at an enjoyable working location for essential meetings and in-person collaborations.

Ideal Candidates Will Possess
- Profound knowledge of computational biology
- A master’s degree in informatics, computational biology, bio-engineering or a related field, with a preference for a PhD.
- Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
- Strategic thinking with knowledge of computer architectures
- A strong sense of collegiality
- The ability to work independently and as a team player
- Technological curiosity and passion for continuous improvement
- Fluency in English
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the CTO and internal architects to design and develop our next-generation tool.
- Communicate project progress, updates, and potential risks in a clear and timely manner
- Participate in both internal R&D and client projects, utilising your unique talents, knowledge, skills, and preferences to contribute to the company’s success while maintaining a strong customer-centric focus
- Provide support and mentorship to colleagues to contribute to everyone’s ongoing growth in performance and efficiency
Required Biological Skills
- Experience with single-cell technologies and data processing
- Solid understanding of molecular biology, genomics, and transcriptomics
- Experience with bioinformatics databases, resources, and data formats
- Familiarity with data integration and multimodal omics analyses
Required IT Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in the Snakemake workflow management system
- Expertise in containerization (e.g., Docker, Singularity, Kubernetes)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, R)
- Experience using version control tools (e.g., Git/GitHub)
- Good knowledge of Linux-based operating systems, libraries, and tools
- Understanding of software build automation (e.g., Make)
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Workflow management system Nextflow
- High-performance computing environments
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML)
- Proficiency in programming languages Scala and/or Rust
